Support Will Saddler’s Brain Cancer Recovery

UPDATE (26 Nov 2025): Will’s pathology report came back. We were crushed by the news. The tumor is a choroid plexus carcinoma, grade 3. The likelihood of it growing back is pretty high. It developed and grew from the area of his brain that produces cerebral spinal fluid, which explains the neck and back pain he was also experiencing. We should be hearing from the Huntsman Cancer Institute next week on the next steps we'll be taking for him. All I know is that it is pretty rare, and the outcome is largely based on a type of gene he has. We don't know that answer yet. It is also good that he's a little older as this affects mostly smaller children with less desirable outcomes. William is staying positive among the many tears we've shared. He is still healing and has to limit his activities, including conversations to just 30 min and then needs brain breaks.

The Saddler family is facing the shocking brain tumor diagnosis of their 17-year-old son, Will. What started as an eye appointment for Will’s rapidly declining vision, quickly turned into an emergency when doctors discovered severe pressure on his optic nerve. He was immediately sent to the local ER, where imaging revealed the 3.5” tumor. Consequently, the emergency department transferred Will to the University of Utah hospital for a complex, 6+ hour surgery.

As Will bravely undergoes this operation and begins his road to recovery, the Saddler family is doing everything they can to support him. However, as a self-employed family without traditional health insurance, they are facing a future of overwhelming medical bills.

We all adore the Saddlers. Let’s rally around Will and his family so they can focus on Will’s recovery. Every donation will help ease this financial stress. Your support, prayers, and generosity mean the world to them.
