Many of you may know Will, a retired taxidermist who has been doing taxidermy in the area for more than 17 years. He had to wind down and mostly retire after he lost kidney function in 2016 after a long and nearly fatal battle with swine brucellosis. On November 20, 3 days before Thanksgiving, his workshop burned to the ground in the night. It took all of his personal mounts, a lifetime of supplies and tools, including 3 generations of personal automotive, woodworking and hobby tools. The building also contained the family’s personal storage with family furniture, heirlooms, nearly all the family photos, Christmas decorations and other personal belongings. While our family is safe and our homes are intact, this has been a huge loss before the holidays and the insurance situation is up in the air.
Several people in the community have requested a GoFundMe in order to help our family. We are so grateful as it would help us through the immediate financial strain and help get through the coming months of expenses.
Thank you in advance for any help. The app required a goal but any amount at all is so deeply appreciated. Also thank you to the neighbors and friends who have been there for us so far.
