Hey St. Ives Family,
Happy holidays and a happy New Year to you all! As you celebrate your time with loved ones we ask that you keep one of our employees, Will Madden in your prayers. As many of you know, Will has been battling an aggressive battle with Kidney failure for almost three years now. Will is active in the transplant list but has struggled to stay healthy during this challenging time. One of the side effects has been the development of high phosphorus in the body which has created a calcium abnormality. The symptoms include bone and muscle pain much like in someone with lupus making daily life very challenging.
Will was recently diagnosed with Pulmonary hypertension which is an auto immune disorder that makes it almost impossible to breathe. The simple task of walking has become a major battle for him. As a result of the discovery of this auto immune disease they also found some other major health issues that will be addressed and handled over the next few months. Therefore it has been determined that Will will not be returning to work until at the earliest February.
Doctors has advised that Will take a couple months to rest and recover and focus on treatments. We ask that you once again open your hearts to a St. Ives employee in need during this holiday season. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated. Will is always one of those employees everyone loves and always keeps everyone smiling. He is creative, talented, and passionate. Mostly he truly loves the club he works at and takes pride in what he does. I hope you will consider making any form of donation to our boy Will. God Bless and happy holidays!
