Support Will and Terry at Twisted Roots Farm

Hello everyone, Terry here.

As many of you know, Will has been in the hospital in Halifax since October 12th after blood work revealed that his kidney function was unbelievably low and that his body was attacking itself through his platelets. He has had multiple blood transfusions which have seemed to help improve his kidney functioning and platelet situation.

We currently have no other information about a diagnosis or the potential long-term outlook for his health. As we farm, I cannot leave the farm to be with him, and the future of our business is entirely unknown as it doesn't function without the two of us. We are asking for your support to get us through this challenging time so that we do not have to worry about how to make ends meet until we better understand what's happening for Will and the plan for his care.

We will also need to hire many tasks that we would typically take care of ourselves, like decreasing our farm numbers (pigs, ducks, chickens, goats) and any specific building projects that Will would have been responsible for.

Any support you can provide will be incredibly beneficial as we need to get things set up to be more easily managed in the short term, especially as we head into winter. Once we have a better idea of what's happening for Will, we can make some decisions and create a plan accordingly.
