Will Meadows and Kolbi Koimann are 9th graders at Rapid City Christian School in Rapid City, SD. They spent the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year working together to tell the story of The Boston Tea Party, as it relates to this year's National History Day theme of Rights and Responsibilities. The National History Day competition is similar to a science fair, where students present their projects to judges and can advance from the local to the regional, state and even national level.
After a long and surprising road, earning honorable mention at the local level, only moving onto regionals after another project dropped out, earning second place at regionals to advance to state and earning first place at state, the boys have solidly worked their way to the National level and will be competing at the National History Day National competition in Maryland in June.
The news came unexpectedly, and now the boys are working hard to raise money to fund their quickly approaching trip to Maryland.
Thank you for helping Will and Kolbi on their journey to Nationals! We are grateful for your support!
