Hi there. I’m Jason Etienne. I’m 21 years old. And I’m creating this fundraiser because of my wonderful father named Wilfrid Etienne. And he unfortunately passed away this morning at 7:30 AM. He was 50 years old. And his cause of death was stage 4 colon cancer, liver cancer, and lung cancer. He was

diagnosed with colon cancer on March of last year. He had colon cancer at first, but it spread to his lungs and liver.

Let me tell you a little about my father. He was a kind-hearted, generous, funny, and loving person. He was extremely kind to a point where he would give his shirt on his back to whoever needs it. He was also very funny. He was kind to everyone. Anyone that meets him, will fall in love with him. I’m not just saying that because he’s my father, I’m saying this because that’s how he truly was. The world has lost a wonderful husband, a loving father, and a kind person. He will be truly missed. We would do everything to keep his legacy alive. He would always have a special place in all of our hearts. He’s with God now.

The reason why we’re asking for donations, is because when he got sick, he only had Medicaid. A lot of the expenses like travel, medication, transportation, etc we had to purchase ourselves. He was supposed to start chemo today, but on Saturday he got really sick. His kidney failed, his liver failed, there was blood in his pee, he started deteriorating faster. The doctor called us to spend time with him, because they were going to put him in hospice care. But he never got the chance to go to hospice care, because he passed away this morning. It is really hard for me to make this fundraiser, but I would really appreciate it if you can kindly donate as much as you can, because we can’t afford the funeral services, the graveyard, the burial, etc. We are financially struggling terribly. I don’t have a job, I’m not able to find work, because I babysit my younger siblings. We need as much assistance as we can. If you can, please share this with anyone that you know that can kindly donate. Any amount of donation counts, any amount of donation is appreciated. We need to do this funeral for my father, because that’s what he wanted. He deserve the funeral. I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to him, because on my way to the hospital, the doctor called us and told us that he passed away. This is so heartbreaking for me. We’re trying our best to continue to move forward, but we can’t do that until we are able to have a funeral and a burial for my father to keep his legacy alive. Thank you all for your kindness.
