Hi, I'm Luca, and if there is one thing to know about me, it’s that I love soccer. Last summer, my dad and I took an incredible trip to Zimbabwe, and while we were there, I saw how the sport I love can literally save lives and protect wildlife.

During our trip, we met an amazing group of people and a truly unique soccer team. They aren't just playing for wins, they are playing to save an endangered species.

The beautiful and rare Painted Dogs are deeply threatened by poaching. But instead of just standing by, a brilliant local organization called Painted Dog Conservation (PDC) is protecting them and helping local communities, using among other tools my favorite sport: soccer! By sponsoring teams and hosting tournaments, PDC turns these beautiful animals into a source of immense community pride. They are bringing people together and changing hearts and minds through the sport.

Because PDC partners with the Wildlife Conservation Network (a US-based non-profit), 100% of the funds raised go directly to Zimbabwe to support their for Painted Dogs.

I was so inspired by their mission that I wanted to bring a piece of that hope back home to the Bay Area.
