My sisters beautiful baby, Wilder Anthony, was born on Monday, February 17th, 2025 at 2:27 pm. We love him so much. Many people have been continuously praying for him, and asking how they can help.

We ask everyone prays for Wilder. He did not have a heart beat for 28 min when he was born.

When they broke her water they found meconium as he had made a bowel movement while still in utero. There were precautions taken to clean his fluid, but he had inhaled meconium in the womb and upon birth was not breathing and his heart was not beating. It took three intubations to clear his airway of the sticky meconium. He has many machines supporting his functions as he works to heal. We won’t know a lot for a long time, but some big indicators for how he is doing right now will be his brain MRIs at 7 and 14 day markers. Right now he is on a cooling blanket for 72 hours to encourage protecting his brain and organ health. He has a little eye mask over his face to have as little stimulus as possible so his brain and body can rest and heal.

Her husband is currently not working and they aren’t sure when he will be able to return since Wilder will stay in the NICU for at least two weeks and will have to stay in hotels to be near him incase something happens. They aren’t aware of what the estimated medical bills will look like afterwards, but anything will help for now, especially prayers.
