Last year, my brother Wilbert was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer (mCSPC).

Not long after, we discovered something bigger than just one diagnosis — a BRCA2 genetic mutation in our family.

Cancer is not new to us. We lost our mother to it, and my father, who was also fighting advanced cancer, passed away in a tragic accident.

We thought we understood this fight…
But nothing prepares you for watching your brother go through it.

Wilbert has shown nothing but strength.
From day one, he has faced this with courage, discipline, and an unbreakable will.

His diagnosis was metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (MCRPC), with a gleason 4+5, an aggressive kind that requires constant and timely care.

But recently, everything changed.

Due to delays in care through the public system in Mexico, Wilbert developed metastatic spinal cord compression (MSCC) — a medical emergency that requires immediate diagnosis and treatment.

That treatment did not come in time.

The delay cost him something devastating — his ability to walk.

This was not inevitable.
With faster access to care, this outcome could have been prevented.

Now, we are in a critical window.

The next 3 months will determine whether Wilbert can regain mobility.
Walking again is not just about independence — it is key to his survival and his ability to keep fighting this disease.

Beyond his own fight, Wilbert has found purpose in this journey.

He is committed to learning everything he can about his condition, treatments, and recovery — with the goal of helping others facing similar battles.

His mission is not only to heal, but to one day give back, share knowledge, and support others navigating this difficult path.

We are asking for your support in any way you can:

1. Donate:
Wilbert and our family have already self-funded major surgeries, tests, and treatments.
Surgeries alone have cost tens of thousands, and ongoing therapies, rehabilitation, and advanced treatments are overwhelming.

2. Share knowledge:
If you know of emerging therapies, specialists, clinical trials, or innovative treatments, please reach out. We are exploring every possible option.

3. Share our story:
Please share this in your Instagram story, WhatsApp groups, and family chats.
This alone can make a real difference.

4. Send strength:
Your prayers, messages, and encouragement truly matter.
Wilbert feels them — and they fuel him.

Wilbert is still here.
Still fighting.
Still believing he will stand again.

We are doing everything we can to give him that chance — without the limits that finances impose.

If this message reaches you, please help us carry this forward.
Share it. Support it. Be part of his fight.

If you can’t donate, sharing helps more than you think.

While the total cost of Wilbert’s care is much much higher, we have set an initial goal of $30,000 to help cover the most urgent expenses over the next 3 months. This period is critical. For full breakdown on how the funds will be used, scroll to the bottom.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

PS: You can set the tip to $0 when donating by sliding the scale or "Enter custom tip" option, to set it to zero.
