Dear friends and community,

We are reaching out to share the story of our son, Wil Ward, who recently experienced a life-altering accident. On October 1, 2024, Wil was riding his bike when he was struck by a truck. The impact left him with severe injuries, including a collapsed lung, broken ribs, a broken collarbone, two fractured vertebrae (one in his neck and one in his back), a broken pelvis, and significant road rash.

Wil has been in the ICU on a ventilator for nine days now, and each day has brought its own challenges. Despite the pain and uncertainty, we trust in God and remain strong and hopeful, supported by our family and friends.

As an 18-year-old, Wil does not have much financial security, and beginning his adult life with huge medical debt would be overwhelming. After he is released from the hospital, he will need months of aftercare and rehabilitation on his journey.
