Wiktor Stankiewicz has recently qualified to represent Ireland at the WAKO European Championships 2025. Though Kickboxing Ireland is recognised as the official governing body for kickboxing in Ireland, and WAKO is recognised by the International Olympic Committee, the sport itself is not funded by the government. This means that all athletes have to cover travel, accommodation, training and administrative fees by themselves.
