I am Racheal, and I am raising money for my wonderful cousin, Whitney Strand. Whitney is a loving Christian woman, a single mother of 2 children, 16 year old Braden Monroe, and 6 year old Amelia Noe. She is the daughter of Terra Thornton, and the late Scott Strand, and the granddaughter of Don and Cynthia Poindexter. Whitney is always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear with no expectation of anything in return, and very rarely ever asks for help so I am asking on her behalf. A few weeks ago, Whitney started experiencing enhanced neurological symptoms that wouldn't subside, and continued to worsen, so she was sent to the emergency department. After hours of tests and scans the doctor came to the diagnosis of Chiari Malformation, a condition in wich the lower part of the cerebellum pushes down into the spinal canal because the skull is misshapen. Oftentimes this disease is hereditary and asymptomatic, but because she became symptomatic she must undergo surgery to remove a small portion of bone at the back of the skull, to create sufficient space for the cerebellum and relieve the pressure on the brain stem and spinal cord. Whitney will spend several days in the hospital with a following recovery time of up to 12 weeks. Her household relies solely on her income, and through her recovery time will have no money coming in. Any donation at all will be profoundly appreciated. It is my hope that she will be able to recover without worries of utilities being cut off, or homelessness because of an unexpected sickness. Even if you are unable to donate I sincerely ask for you to remember her and her family in prayer. I thank you for reading this far, and please share if you are able.
"Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
