Help those affected by Hurricane Melissa - Starting October 27, 2025, Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 hurricane, devastated our island. Wind, flooding and falling debris caused significant damage where many of our White Sands Negril staff live. Our hotel staff has lost power, gas, and, in many cases, parts of their homes — we need your urgent help.

Since our hotel doors opened in 1970, the people who work here have been the heart and soul of White Sands Negril. Our housekeepers, cooks, bartenders, front-desk team, maintenance crew and more have welcomed generations of guests and treated everyone like family. Now, after Hurricane Melissa hit our island, many of those same team members have seen their homes badly damaged or destroyed — and they have no electricity, gas, or mobile service to call for help.

We are raising emergency funds to provide immediate relief to affected staff members so they can secure temporary shelter, get power, buy fuel and phone/data access, and begin urgent repairs. Our goal is to ensure our team has the basic necessities while they rebuild — and that every dollar donated goes directly into helping them recover.

For transparency, we are the current owners of the White Sands Negril hotel and we are raising funds for all our hotel staff members as they were all negatively impacted by the hurricane. All funds raised from this GoFundMe will go directly to the staff members. We will wire transfer the money directly to each staff member.
