Please help Whiskers with Amigo's vet bills!

AMIGO was adopted from Whiskers two years ago. Unfortunately, his loving owners fell on hard times, and when Amigo suddenly became extremely ill, they knew the only way to save him was to return him to Whiskers. It broke their hearts, but it was the right thing to do. He would have died without extensive care. He is the sweetest, best boy and deserves a happy, long life.

Whiskers rushed him to the emergency vet, where he stayed for several days. It turns out he was partially blocked, and had to be catheterized and his bladder flushed out multiple times for grit and sludge in his urine. He is finally out of the emergency vet hospital, and is now with one of our medical fosters, where he is monitored closely. It is entirely possible he could block up completely and require immediate emergency surgery.

Amigo vet bills are already at $5000, and that is if he doesn't need the surgery or more care at the vet hospital. We could really use your help for this poor kitty. Kitten season is here and we are struggling with overwhelming vet costs.

Whiskers Pet Rescue

Whiskers Pet Rescue is a no-kill cat rescue organization in Southbury, Connecticut. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity committed to helping and caring for cats and kittens who have been abandoned, injured, abused, or neglected. We're a hard-working group of people with a huge passion for helping our whiskered friends. We rescue and adopt out hundreds of cats and kittens each year, placing them in loving forever homes. We also have a Senior-to-Senior Forever Foster program that matches senior (and sometime special needs) cats up with senior citizens in our area. We continue to supply the needs of these senior cats, including vetting, medication, food and litter. This program allows senior citizens on fixed incomes to still be able to have a loving pet.
