Hi, I’m John, I’m here hoping for some help to keep me afloat during some pretty tough medical and physical times. A few years ago I had slipped 3 discs in my lower spine and spent two years going through spine surgeries and recovery and getting back to some form of normality again. A few months ago I had recurrence of the disc pains and went to hospital for a scan to make sure everything was ok. Unfortunately this time the scan showed not only did I need a third round of spine surgery but I also had a mass on my kidney. After weeks of the testing pathways I was told I had kidney cancer and we needed to remove all or part of my kidney. During all this I had unfortunately no ssp from work and am struggling to get any help from other sources. I have had kidney removal surgery but I am still in the dark as to my next moves as they are still doing tests as it’s apparently a rare form, all while still out of work in daily pain waiting for news of a spine surgery. Anything at all will help me to just keep one less worry off my mind, help with my rent, my bills, help me be able to still live some kind of life while waiting for all this to be fixed.
