Hi everyone. This is really hard for me to write, but I don’t really know what else to do right now.

This is Wheels — my two-legged cat, my baby, my whole heart. He’s only 1 year old and is so full of life, personality, and love. If you’ve met him, you know how special he is.

Last night was absolutely terrifying. I rushed Wheels to the emergency vet after suspecting a urinary blockage, and if we had waited any longer, he could have died. Thankfully, we made it in time and they were able to unblock him, but he is currently in the ICU and being closely monitored.

I was not ready to lose him. Not like that. Not when he’s barely had a chance at life.

Emergency veterinary care is incredibly expensive, and I’ve never been in a position like this before. Just to stabilize him required a large deposit, and his hospitalization and treatment could total $2,000 or more. I’m doing everything I can, but the financial stress on top of the emotional weight has been overwhelming.

I’m setting this up because I need help — whether that’s donating, sharing, or just keeping Wheels in your thoughts. Every little bit truly helps and goes directly toward his lifesaving care.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, for caring, and for helping me give Wheels the chance he deserves. I love him more than I can put into words, and I’m not ready to say goodbye.

Meet Wheels, a brave and resilient kitten from the SPCA of Brevard adoption center in Titusville, Florida, after he was hit by a car. For months, I worked with him through physical therapy, hoping his legs could be saved, but sadly, they were beyond repair. After careful consideration, we decided to opt for double amputation, giving him the chance at a better quality of life. While his injury made him harder to adopt, I couldn’t bear the thought of him not having a chance at happiness, so I decided to care for him myself through the SPCA.

Wheels is thriving in ways I never imagined! He’s more active, more playful, and so much happier. But being a double amputee comes with a unique set of challenges, and as his forever family, I want to make sure he has everything he needs to live his best life. From a bigger wheelchair to medical expenses, diapers, puppy pads, and more, the costs add up quickly.

As someone who works in animal rescue at the SPCA of Brevard, I am deeply passionate about helping animals in need. However, my rescue work means our funds are limited, and I’m asking for your support to help cover the unexpected costs of Wheels’ future medical care and accessories.

Wheels is my first double amputee kitten, and he continues to amaze me every day with his resilience and strength.
