Support WGA Captain Adam Wiesen after Apartment Fire
Donation protected
Adam Wiesen is a WGA East Captain who has showed up for us time and time again. In 2023, he stepped up as a strike captain on the lines day after day. Every day since strike has ended, he's showed up for us as a captain, leader of Scripted Forum, and a dedicated member.
Now, it's our chance to show up for him.
On Sunday, December 8th 2024, Adam's apartment was destroyed in a house fire—likely caused by a neighbor's space heater. He and his wife and son are thankfully safe and physically well. But pretty much everything they owned is gone, and they are currently staying with family while they get back on their feet.
It goes without saying that this couldn't have happened at a crazier time—holidays in full swing, and all of us understand the industry is already a... (nope, not making a dumpster fire joke, though Adam would)...tough place right now.
And that's true for all of us. You don't have to give a lot for it to mean a lot to Adam and his family—knowing you're not alone in tough times is how we get through. That solidarity in any amount will go a really long way.
On behalf of all of us who love Adam and the whole Wiesen family, thank you for anything you can contribute!
