❤️ Let’s Show Up for Weston Kaaua Leslie: Help Him Heal from Life-Saving Heart Surgery
Aloha mai kākou,
My name is Kanoe Mariano-Hardy, and I’m humbly asking for your kōkua on behalf of my cousin, Weston Kaaua Leslie — a gentle soul with a heart full of aloha, who now needs ours in return.
On July 2, 2025, Kaaua will undergo emergency open-heart surgery after a recent, unexpected diagnosis of severe arterial blockages. The surgery is serious — a quadruple bypass — and while we’re incredibly hopeful for a successful outcome, his journey to recovery will be long and filled with challenges.
He’ll need 2 to 3 months of healing, unable to work during that time. While he does have medical insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are expected to reach $45,000 — covering hospital bills, medications, follow-up care, and daily living expenses like rent, food, and transportation to medical visits.
Now It’s Our Turn to Give Back
Weston has always been someone who gives freely and quietly — with his time, his help, and his heart. He is the kind of person who shows up without needing to be asked. Whether lending a hand or lifting someone’s spirit, Kaaua lives with kindness at his core.
Today, we’re coming together as ʻohana, friends, and community to return the love and support he’s so often given to others.
Your generosity will help Kaaua with:
• Medical bills not covered by insurance
• Living expenses during his recovery
• Medication, rehabilitation, and follow-up appointments
• Transportation and other essential needs
A Glimpse Into Kaaua’s Journey
Two years ago, Kaaua made a commitment to transform his health. At 260 lbs, he began a journey of wellness through fasting, healthy eating, and consistent exercise — guided by a dear friend. Over 18 months, he lost 80 lbs and was feeling healthier and stronger than ever.
But just a few months ago, everything changed. He began experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath at work. After seeing a cardiologist, he learned that several of his arteries were severely blocked. Surgery couldn’t wait.
How You Can Help
We humbly ask for your support — whether through a financial gift, a kind word, a prayer, or simply sharing this campaign with others. Every gesture of aloha makes a difference.

With heartfelt aloha,
Kanoe Mariano-Hardy
