West Valley High School has won the state LifeSmarts Competition and now they are headed to Chicago to compete in the National LifeSmarts Competition, proudly representing Washington State!
LifeSmarts is a national competition hosted by the National Consumers League and is the nation’s premier consumer education program.
Students compete in five categories: consumer rights, environment, personal finance, safety, and technology.
These five West Valley students have worked hard and studied diligently to make it to this level of competition. The opportunity to represent the state of Washington at the national competition is quite an honor!
With rising travel and accommodation costs, our traditional fundraising methods have not gone as well as we had hoped.
So, we are reaching out to our entire community in hope of receiving your support and good wishes.
National competition is April 24 through the 27th. The funds will be used to cover flights, lodging, and meals that are not provided by LifeSmarts.
All funds will be managed and accounted for by the team coach.
We will update with statements from the students, letting you know what it means to them to represent the state of Washington at the national competition.
Any amount helps… We would just be grateful for your support and we will make sure to update you on the results of the national competition!
