I'm Swimming 5K (200 Laps!) to Fund West Highland Christian Academy Robotics—Will You Help?
On Saturday, August 30th, I’ll be swimming 5,000 meters—that’s 200 laps—in the outdoor pool at Life Time Commerce to raise money for an incredible group of high school students... including my son.
I began training in June, and I'm already swimming 120 laps at a time. But this is about more than endurance—this is about opportunity.
This past March, I watched our seven hardworking students pour their hearts into the Robotics Competition. While teams from nearby schools had $100,000+ budgets and shelves of spare parts, our kids scraped, soldered, and sweat their way through every challenge. Through setbacks, tears, and determination, they still shined.
That’s when the phrase hit me:
"Somebody should do something about that."
And I realized—I’m Somebody.
I’m doing something.
I’ve set a bold goal: raise $25,000 to help level the playing field for our students and give them the tools, parts, and mentorship they need to thrive in Robotics and beyond.
Your support can make all the difference:
➡️ Make a flat donation
or
➡️ Sponsor me by the lap (200 laps total!)
Every dollar helps equip these young minds—future engineers, electricians, programmers, and problem-solvers—with the resources they deserve.
Let’s show them what’s possible when a community believes in their future.
Let’s swim toward something greater—together.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
