On November 7th, 2023 our dear, Dad, Brother, Son, and Friend Wes was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a challenging and aggressive form of blood cancer that requires immediate treatment. True to form, Wes has been handling this diagnosis with determination, stubbornness, and truly grabbing the bull by the horns.
Thanks to his dear friend Lee Ann Reiter he was able to get things fast tracked and headed to Fred Hutch Center in Seattle, WA on 11/17/23 with his brother Lee as his copilot.
Wes started chemotherapy treatments on 11/18/23 and will continue the 7 day regimen in the hospital.
It is anticipated that there will be a total of 4-5 chemotherapy treatments. This is projected to take 7-8 months.
Many people have asked how they can help support Wes during this challenging chapter of his life. We started this page to provide an avenue for people to help, to ease any financial burdens and allow Wes to focus all of his strength and determination on defeating cancer.
Contributions will go toward the expenses that come with this diagnosis, such as general medical expenses, chemotherapy treatments, and any additional medication needed to keep Wes healthy enough to return to capturing and building items in his shop.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful impact. Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support.
