My name is Wendy, and I am a 65-year-old woman who recently suffered a stroke over Christmas. I spent three days in the hospital—on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after. It was a frightening and overwhelming experience, especially during what should have been a joyful time with family and friends. While I am grateful to be home and on the road to recovery, the challenges haven’t ended with my hospital stay.
Even though I have insurance, the large co-pays and medical bills are more than I can manage on my own. I had to be out of work for over a week, which has made it even harder to keep up with everyday expenses. On top of that, I need to pay for medications and follow-up doctor’s appointments to make sure I continue healing and stay healthy.
I am reaching out for help during this difficult time. Your support will go directly toward my medical bills, medications, and the care I need to recover. Thank you for supporting me in these hard times—anything you can give is greatly appreciated.
