Hello,

Our names are Steve and Kathy Palmateer, and we are starting this fundraiser on behalf of Kevin and Wendy Palmateer. As many of you know already, our sister-in-law, Wendy, suffered a stroke in August, which has dramatically affected her life.

While we are so thankful that she has survived the stroke, she now is facing physical challenges that affect her mobility and independence. She has been through surgery and is now in a facility for physical, speech, and occupational therapies. We have been approached by so many of you wanting to help in some way. We know that the bills from the surgery, hospital stay, and therapies are adding up. There is also a need to make changes to their home to make it safer and more accessible for Wendy when she gets home. These changes may include wheelchair ramps, bathroom modifications, handrails, or mobility devices. The ongoing medical expenses and therapy sessions quickly add up, causing a financial burden during an already overwhelming time. Kevin is also planning to be her full-time caregiver instead of working. Wendy has always been someone who puts others first and pours into her community. Now she needs our support more than ever.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and kindhearted strangers to ask for help. Your donation will go directly toward medical expenses, rehabilitation, and making their home a safe place where recovery and healing can continue.
