Support Wendy's Recovery from Brain Surgery
Donation protected
Hi everyone! Nikki and I are reaching out to support our dear friend, Wendy Massaro Ganci. On November 1, Wendy had her first ever seizure while at home. Thanks to the quick response of her son Tyler, 911 was called and she was rushed to the ER at UConn's John Dempsey Hospital. She continued to have unexplained seizures and they did multiple tests and scans to determine the cause. The results revealed a benign Meningioma Brain Tumor. A few days later, on November 5, Wendy underwent a craniotomy (brain surgery) to remove the large tumor pressing on her brain.
After spending seven days in ICU, Wendy is now in a rehabilitation hospital as she had lost movement on her right side.
If you know Wendy, she is staying positive and believes in the power of prayer. With that being said, she has regained some mobility in her right arm; however, she is still unable to move her right leg and foot.
We recognize that she had major surgery and are hoping with time, she will be able to walk on her own again.
We are also hoping to help alleviate the financial burden this has caused as she is unable to return to work at this time. We ask that you please consider giving any amount you can so she has one less thing to worry about. Thank you for your support and please join in our prayers.
