Earlier this fall, my best friend Wendy Armstrong, ended up with a severe infection that spread quickly and needed major surgery that consisted of several different surgical incisions, over a month's worth of IV and oral antibiotic, and steroids to help get rid of it. Having a few health problems on top of that sure didn't help. She spent a week in the hospital and then 7 weeks in a skilled nursing rehabilitation center. She is finally home where she can feel and be more comfortable. She is now going to have a home health care nurse come and do wound care, bandage changes and anything else the doctor orders on a daily basis until she is fully healed. It's going to be a long hard road to total recovery. I know she will do great.
