On what should have been a normal workday, 58-year-old Wendy Brim walked into her garage to grab a bottle of water before heading out to begin driving for Uber. In a sudden and devastating accident, the water softener had cracked, leaving water all over the garage floor. Wendy slipped and fell hard, suffering multiple serious injuries.
The fall snapped her left wrist in half, broke her right thumb, and caused fractures to her L4 and L5 vertebrae in her lower back. Wendy also lives with COPD and relies on oxygen daily, which makes her recovery even more difficult and physically demanding.
As an Uber driver, Wendy depends on being physically able to drive in order to earn a living. Because of these injuries, she will be unable to work for at least a month, possibly longer, while she heals and attends therapy appointments. During this time, medical bills, therapy costs, and everyday living expenses will continue to pile up, creating an overwhelming financial burden.
Wendy has always worked hard and done her best to support herself, and during this difficult time, any support and encouragement would mean so much to her. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help cover medical expenses, rehabilitation and therapy, household bills, and provide some relief while she focuses on healing and recovery.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Wendy in your thoughts and prayers. Every share, prayer, and contribution truly makes a difference. Thank you for helping Wendy through this incredibly difficult time.
