My name is Wendy, and I’m facing my second battle with kidney cancer. I was diagnosed in December 2024, and since then, life has been a daily challenge. My cancer doesn’t respond to chemotherapy, so I’m managing weekly lab draws and preparing for a major appointment at UNC Chapel Hill in August. Despite these health struggles, I’m doing my best to keep working and stay positive.

Recently, things have become even more difficult. My car broke down, making it hard to get to work and medical appointments. Friends have stepped in to give me rides, but it’s not easy relying on others. On top of that, the ceiling in my camper—my home—collapsed, and the damage can’t be repaired. I’ve had to block off half of my living space, which has made daily life even more stressful and uncertain.

I’m not ready to give up on life. My beautiful kids and amazing grandchildren are my motivation, and I want to be here to watch them grow. My dream is to chase waterfalls and make memories with my family while I still can. Any support will help me cover medical expenses, transportation, and basic living needs as I fight to stay strong for those I love.
