Support Wendy's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
On April 15th, 2025, our mother, Wendy LaFountain, was taken to the E.R. by her amazing boss, Tyler, presenting symptoms of a stroke. It was not a stroke. Wendy was diagnosed with cancer that made its way to her brain.

Wendy is extraordinary. She loves with all her heart, protects with all her might and gives with all she’s got. Wendy has 3 children, 9 grandbabies (though they aren’t all babies anymore), her father, 3 sisters and a brother, auntie, uncle, many nieces and nephews, plenty of cousins and a load of friends. She’s a woman who stands by them all, someone who will always offer assistance and someone who will always include people in her adventures.

Wendy believes in living life with laughter and her loved ones. Her adventures could be something simple like a BBQ get together with a campfire and roasting marshmallows, a drive to Glacier, encountering wild animals on a journey through Yellowstone (not the ‘try and pet the giant wild bison’ kind though!), berry picking, hanging out and dressing up at Rockin' the Rivers, large camping trips around Montana, hiking around ghost towns, kayaking the lakes, floating the rivers, strolling the Billings Renaissance Fair, roaming the freeways to new destinations like the Oregon coast, Vegas and the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Wendy will be going through a long and rough road over the next handful of months, which if any of you have had a loved one with cancer knows. She has completed 2 weeks of radiation that was centralized to the brain masses that were found. She will be traveling from her home town of Great Falls, Montana to Billings, Montana in less than 2 weeks (end of May) to get surgery to hopefully remove all the masses there. She will be in recovery for 3 months following this surgery where she must stay in Billings with round the clock company. She will be completing rounds of chemo at some point after her surgery for the rest of the cancer that was found on her lungs and cervix.

From day one, her daughter, my sister, Shay, has been by her side. She has done everything from sitting with our mom, to filling out paperwork, picking up anything mom needs, getting insurance dealt with, driving her to appointments, and talking with not only the doctors but family as well. While Billings was picked from the few locations who had a doctor able to do this surgery, for all the amazing family members in the area to help Wendy through her coming rough waters, Shay will be continuing to stay by her side. Due to the circumstances, Wendy of course is unable to work, along with Shay.

We are asking for donations to aid these two extraordinary ladies with their everyday bills, gas for travel/errands, food and anything to help comfort our Mom along with the funds for the medical bills that her insurance doesn't cover for the next 6 months.

We greatly appreciate all the support that may be given.
