Wendell Sizemore… A man that everyone came to adore… A man that dedicated his soul to his love of rock and roll. All of us from Landmark Pub loved Wendell and we will miss this man more than he could have ever imagined. Wendell has been a part of our Club Belmont/Landmark Pub family for as long as we can remember. After selling Club Belmont, Wendell came with us and spent his last years living his best life in the apartment above Landmark Pub. MUSIC. Music was his PASSION. Despite years of spending the early hours of his days at kidney dialysis, and having lost his eyesight from his very advanced diabetes, NOTHING stopped Wendell from playing and singing. His band, Running MADD, will always hold a special place in all of our hearts. Thursdays will never be the same… Every Thursday at Landmark Pub, Wendell and his crew hosted open mic night with a full band and equipment available to anyone else who wanted to share in his passion and love of music. In between jam sessions, Wendell and his crew would play everything from Johnny Cash to The Temptations. He lived for his music and died by it… Performing and sharing his talent just 2 weeks before passing away. Wendell wasn’t in a good position financially, and relied on his Thursday open mic nights for rent, food, etc. This did not bother him at all, as long as he had his guitar and could play his music, he was happy. Unfortunately, this did not leave Wendell in a position where he had any funds to go toward any end-of-life services. We here at Landmark Pub are organizing this fundraiser in order to give this man the end of (one hell of a) life celebration that he so much deserves (and the cost of services thereof), and also aiding his family who currently lives in Alabama, any support/time they need to properly gather and distribute his belongings.

Whether it is your own passion for music, or your appreciation of Wendell himself, we are asking for your kind assistance in helping us honor this man and the passion he had so we may offer him a proper sending off from his time here with us.
