Two families were displaced in the Weitchpec area Tuesday evening. 1141 heat’math prairie McKinnon hill. Daisy Carlson her 8 y.o daughter and her 3 y.o. Son as well as her adult son Anthony and his family. No one was home at the time so everyone is safe. Yurok fire department did respond to the fire. They are awaiting a report from the local fire department as to the cause of the fire. They need the report to receive emergency assistance. While they are waiting for those services, they are in need now for money for shelter, clothing, and food.

Update: There was a trailer that survived the fire on the property that Daisy’s son Anthony and his family were going to stay in but they came home and found all the windows were busted out.

They are needing donations for shelter cost while they wait for emergency assistance from the tribe.
