Hello, my name is Mickey from Michigan USA and I am raising funds for Wedad Shadi from Gaza!

"My name is Wadad, and I am fifteen years old, and I write to you from from Gaza . I am a teenager who should be thinking about school, friends, and dreams of the future, but instead my days are filled with fear, hunger, and worry for my family.

We live in a fragile tent ⛺, where the seven of us live with almost nothing. My mother, Suheila, is sick and in the hospital. She is injured and needs medicine we cannot afford. My father, Shadi, was wounded in the war, and our lives have been shattered since.

My little sister Mira is only two years old and has a heart disease as well as very low iron. She needs medication, food, and care, but we are helpless. Watching her suffer breaks my heart every day.

I dream of living a normal life: finishing school, going to university, and becoming someone who can help my family. I am only fifteen, but the weight I carry is far beyond anyone my age should have to.
