Support WCA: Preserve Christ-Centered Education

Washington Christian Academy (WCA) is a small, independent K-12 school in Olney, Maryland. For over 65 years, we have sought to exalt Christ, the Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of all creation, in all aspects of knowledge and learning. We are accredited by Christian Schools International and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Like many businesses and educational institutions, we are facing a budget shortfall. Ongoing economic uncertainty, including federal government layoffs, the high cost of living, and operational challenges, has contributed to low enrollment. Amid these challenges, consider the stories of our families—for example, the Dixon family, whose two children have thrived academically and spiritually at WCA. Due to the recent loss of her husband, however, the mother worries about providing an education that upholds Christian values during the foundational period in her children's growth as a single parent. She has found solace in our school's environment, as her children learn academically, develop a strong moral foundation, and their spiritual growth is protected.

We believe in meeting our challenges together—our WCA staff and educators are collaborating to address this need.

* Reduced salaries by over $225K
* Program cuts exceed $150K

These sacrifices demonstrate our commitment to maintaining our mission. Your gifts will directly support several critical areas, including preserving essential programs, providing a quality education to families like the Dixons, and retaining our dedicated staff. Specifically, donations will be allocated towards enhancing critical program funding and ensuring competitive salaries for our staff, thereby keeping their expertise and dedication. This structured allocation not only provides transparency but also boosts donor confidence in the impact of their contributions.

To further address the enrollment decline, we are launching targeted initiatives for the upcoming year. We are expanding community outreach by partnering with local churches and organizations to widen our network. We are also offering more frequent, personalized campus tours tailored to the interests of prospective families. Additionally, our marketing efforts will focus on highlighting WCA’s academic rigor, spiritual environment, and extracurricular opportunities. Through these specific steps, we aim to restore enrollment to optimal levels.

We sincerely appreciate your ongoing generosity and commitment to Washington Christian Academy. Your immediate support is instrumental in maintaining our mission and nurturing our students’ spiritual and academic growth. We are currently facing a $500K budget shortfall, which we must close to ensure the sustainability of our programs. Please make your most generous gift today to help close this gap and ensure WCA remains a place of Christ-centered learning for future generations.

Your support is vital to sustaining WCA’s mission—please act today.
