On Saturday, April 27th, a life-changing accident struck our family when five-year-old Waylon was involved in a devastating accident. Waylon was quickly airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center, where he underwent a grueling 8 hour surgery to address severe injuries to his leg and severed foot. Another challenging surgery is scheduled for tomorrow as Waylon embarks on a long journey of recovery.

 

As any parent can imagine, facing such a traumatic event is unimaginable. The emotional toll is compounded by the practical challenges ahead. Waylon's parents are devoted to supporting their son every step of the way, but the financial strain is daunting. Both parents are hardworking individuals, but the reality is that they cannot afford to take time off from their jobs to be by Waylon's side during his hospitalization.
