Support Waylon and his journey with Apert

Hello family and friends! My name is Shelby. Taryn and Gary are dear friends of mine. I met them while we were in college at Sam Houston and we instantly became best friends and have been ever since! For those of you that do not know on March 29, 2023, at 36 weeks pregnant, Taryn and Gary welcomed their second precious baby boy, Waylon, into this world! Earlier in the pregnancy, at 24 weeks, doctors discovered that Waylon had a genetic disorder and a few weeks later, it was confirmed that he had Apert Syndrome. Apert Syndrome is a very rare disorder that causes fusion of the skull, hands and feet bones in utero. Waylon is currently in the NICU but is proving to everyone what a strong little fighter he is! Doctors do not know how long the NICU stay will be, however, Waylon will be facing many doctors appointments, undergoing multiple surgeries, and will have therapy sessions as well once he is released from the hospital. With that, comes medical bills and this is where we need your help if you feel led! Taryn and Gary are so thankful for any amount, large or small as they begin to navigate caring for Waylon and the financial expenses that will follow. Even if you are not in a position to donate, prayers are greatly appreciated! Taryn and Gary are extremely grateful for your support and your continued prayers for Waylon, Tyson, Taryn and Gary as they navigate a new normal.
If you would like to follow Waylon's journey you can follow his Facebook page "Waylons Walk: A Journey with Apert Syndrome". There will be updates as the family receives them, so we can pray specifically for certain things.
