I am reaching out in hopes for some help. There have been a number of catastrophic events over the last little while that have left me in a very bad financial position. I have had several reconstructions on my left arm that have ended my ability to work in either of the fields I spent my careers in. I have also needed multiple heart surgeries and the associated rehab for both of those issues. The owner of the last company I worked for canceled my health insurance 3 days before my last scheduled heart procedure. This was prior to being told by work comp I could no longer do that as a career. Since that occurred, I have been dealing with trying to find ways to find employment in a related field of those I once excelled in and had the help of two medical social workers trying to find government help and other help to assist in my medical needs. I am also receiving help finding employment, but I have had no luck as of yet. My primary care provider feels I may now have cancer on top of everything else, but we can't get the diagnostic tests done to deal with any of this without financial help. I also can no longer afford any of the medications or therapies needed for my heart and continued rehab. We have tried without luck to get help by the relevant drug companies with no success. That leaves me reaching out to friends, family, and strangers for some financial assistance in dealing with all of this. If you are in a position to help or just spread the word to those in your circle who may be in a position to help, I would appreciate it. Any funds donated will assist in purchasing medications, rehab, and any further diagnostic procedures needed in my continued care. It will also help with some limited living expenses until I can find new employment.
