Our dear friend Wanjiku (aka Catherine) was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 and remained in remission until December 2022, when she experienced a recurrence. Coping with the diagnosis, enduring harsh treatments, and worrying about family have all been incredibly challenging. Yet, throughout this journey, Wanjiku has remained positive and shown remarkable strength and resilience.

Recently, she experienced a setback due to adverse effects from a new medication. To help manage these effects, she has decided to incorporate naturopathic treatments into her care.

While her insurance covers conventional treatments like chemotherapy and radiation, it does not cover alternative therapies, which have been instrumental in her healing journey. This financial gap has become increasingly difficult to manage. These treatments provide much-needed relief, helping her body stay strong, manage side effects, and improve her overall well-being during this difficult time.

We want to ensure Wanjiku can continue accessing these vital therapies without the added stress of financial strain. That’s why we are reaching out to you—her community, her village—for support.
