If you’re lucky enough to know her, you probably call her your best friend.  My friend,  my dear friend, is fighting the good fight against the formidable enemy, cancer. And while we know there are many things teachers cannot afford, we may not know that teachers also cannot afford a major illness. Sick leave banks dry up quickly-they’re empty barely after they’ve begun.  This fight needs focus. And optimism.  Please share your optimism by making a contribution for her sake today. It will be put to good use.  My biggest wish is that she is able to recover.  My second biggest wish is I hope it never happens to you.
