Please Support Wanda Gamez’s Medical & Final Expenses

On July 25, 2024 my mom, Wanda Gamez had a serious fall at home, which resulted in her being airlifted to Harborview Hospital and was in the ICU. She has suffered a traumatic brain injury, bleeding in the brain, a skull fracture and pelvic fracture. She is in serious condition She was put into a medically induced coma and has not yet woken and is not responsive. It is unknown how long she will be in ICU, but will need some rehabilitation.

In addition to these mounting medical expenses, the family is accruing travel expenses to go to Harborview Hospital, in Seattle, tolls and hotel expenses. Thank you so much for your love and support for my mom, Nana of 5 and a wonderful a wife to my dad!

9/15/24 It has been a month and a half since my moms accident, and many, many highs and lows. On Monday, 9/9, she was brought to St. Michael’s ER and and remains in PCU. They determined that she’s had more then one stroke.   But it is clear that she will be in PCU at St. Michael’s for a while and then will need to transition to a Rehabilitation Facility. For an undetermined amount of time. The deficits (memory, cognitive impairment, aphasia, and severe weakness on one side) she’s suffered from the strokes are apparent. We’re thankfully to have some answers, and now prepare for a new and long recovery process. She does recognize us all and even jokes every once in a while, but the confusion, moments of nonsense chatter and lack of memory in our wife/mom/Nana are very hard. 

With all my mom has been through in the last few months, from traumatic brain injury, hemorrhages, skull & pelvic fractures and now this, all I can say is she’s one tough, strong woman!! Please keep my mom and my family in your prayers and positive thoughts.
