Support Walter's Medical Transport & Rehab

Our brother, Walter, age 89, and his wife, Barbara, have a heart for helping people in need. Walter and Barbara drove 10 hours from La Pine, Oregon, to Fresno, CA, to help a friend recover from back surgery.

While there, Walt had a stroke and has been in Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno for almost one month. He’s awake but very weak and unable to move on his own.

Barbara desperately wants to bring Walt back to Oregon, where his healing at Bend Rehabilitation Facility can start. At this stage of Walter's recovery, it would be dangerous to transport him in anything other than a medical transport, which is very costly. In addition, Walt is expected to need months of rehabilitation and insurance will only cover 20 days. So, we are reaching out to family and friends to help with the medical transport, rehabilitation, and other medical expenses. We ask for your consideration of this need and prayers, knowing Walter and Barb would be so grateful to make this transition as soon as possible so that Walter can start his recovery.
