Hi, my name is Edgwena Cade and I am doing this fundraiser for my wonderful husband of 11 years, Walter Cade, who is 71 years young. In November 2025, he started complaining of hip pain and feeling very tired. One day, on his way back from the bathroom, he tried to get back in bed but didn't make it. He fell and hit the floor. I rushed over to him but didn't move him; I immediately called 911. They came and rushed him to the hospital. They thought it was his heart. They took all kinds of labs, but it wasn't his heart. They found out he had anemia and needed a blood transfusion and had Type 2 diabetes. Four days later, the nurse came in and told him he has stage 4 Acute Myeloid Leukemia and that they needed to transfer him to another hospital for immediate treatment, or go home and die! So I am trying to raise money for needs, transportation, medications, and the quality of life that he has left. Anything will help. Thank you all. He appreciates it.
