This Go Fund Me is for my Brother, Walter Guy Massey, age 63. On his recent birthday he was told the devastating news his foot had to be amputated due to a severe and life threatening infection. The surgery was on 9/3/2025 and they removed his foot and part

of his leg.

He lives alone. He lost his job of 20 yrs recently when his employer closed unexpectedly without notice. He has limited SS income and very limited medical insurance as a result. He is not yet eligible for Medicare.

This plea for help is to cover in home nursing, wheelchair, crutches and other items for daily existence, which his insurance will not pay. He also needs a wheelchair ramp and alterations to his doors for a safe way to enter and leave his home. He will have lengthy and considerable rehabilitation in an outpatient facility working towards a prosthetic. He will also have to bear the cost of the prosthetic which will be upwards of $10,000 to $15,000. His surgeons, doctors and hospital bills will be unfathomable. The obvious is he cannot walk or drive in order to work to help pay these expenses.

Guy has always been a vibrant and active man who loves the outdoors, and has now been suddenly forced into becoming home bound in a wheelchair without the use of his foot and having to rely on others for help, which he has never had to do.

I, his Sister, do hope that anyone reading this can only imagine how terrible and terribly sad this is, and how in an instant one's life can change forever and put your personal and financial existence into depressing turmoil !
