Help Support Walter Higgins and His Family During His Fight with Glioblastoma
Walter Higgins, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong member of the Hugo community, is facing the fight of his life. On March 5th, 2025, Walter was airlifted to Medical City Plano after discovering tumors on his brain. Shortly after, a biopsy confirmed the devastating news — Walter has been diagnosed with Stage 4 aggressive glioblastoma, a fast-growing and difficult-to-treat form of brain cancer, but we hold firmly to our faith, knowing that God is in control.
Walter is 55 years old, married to his loving wife Donna Higgins, and together they have built a beautiful family of 5 children and 13 grandchildren who adore him. Walter has spent his entire life in Hugo, always giving to others and working hard for his family. Now, he and his family need our support more than ever.
As you can imagine, the medical expenses, travel costs, and everyday bills are overwhelming during this time. We are asking for help to lift some of the financial burden so Walter and his family can focus on spending precious time together while navigating this difficult journey.
Any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to Walter, Donna, and their family. If you are unable to give, please keep them in your prayers and share this fundraiser.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. God Bless.
