I'm Ben! I live in Philly. I'm raising funds to pay for a vet visit for Walnut the cat! She found me while I was walking home from the subway. She followed me all the way into my apartment. She was starving and thirsty! She ate a lot of canned chicken. Her name is Walnut because I found her on Walnut Street!

She needs a vet visit because she has an issue with her gums and teeth, probably an infection. It's hard for her to eat. Also, For some reason, she's biting all the hair off her toes . I'm not sure exactly what's wrong, but I want to nurse her to good health. She seems very sick.

Once she heals, I plan to give her to a trusted friend/family member, who can give her a good home. I believe she ran away or was dumped on the street. She is very friendly and definitely had a previous owner. She's litter trained and became accustomed to my appartment quickly! I posted her on every lost animal fourum online.

Update: I actually did get a response from her previous owner, but she is relucant to be involved in ANY WAY, and mentioned euthinasia. Her orignal name was cassie, and she is only 9 years old.

If any extra funds are received, they would go to pet supplies like a cat carrier, food, and medicine - and also help with getting her to a good home.
