In January of 2023, my fiancé was diagnosed with stage 3C melanoma cancer, so he was sent to UCSF for treatment with immunotherapy. He had a bad reaction to a side effect, which gave him Addison's disease four months into the one-year treatment, so he's stopped receiving the injections. Addison's disease is very horrible, and for him, it turned terminal. Addison's disease is a lack of cortisol in your body; it's a hormonal deficiency your body needs to survive. It worked at first and gradually stopped working very well. They gave him 3 months to a year to live approximately 3 months ago. There is no other alternative to medication for that disease. We have sold everything we've owned to keep him going and getting back to normal with no luck. It is now inevitable.

To add insult to injury, his daughter too was diagnosed with stage four cancer four months after he was, so it was a double whammy for the pocket. Everything he worked hard for all his life is gone, savings and all. I don't understand how God would let this happen, but we still have faith in Him.

He's never asked anybody for anything in the 15 years I've known him. Now I'm doing it for him. He's so stressed out about what's going to happen with me, and the bill of burying him, or the cremation, and a few other bills we still have. He's a very good man, one of the best I've ever known. I haven't ever been one to ask for anything, not even when I was struggling with something that was hopeless, but I'd really appreciate some help now, if even just for his peace of mind. I just hope some of the people he's helped and whoever could see it in their heart to help a little so he can rest in peace. Please do what you can if you can, at least a prayer, and prayer does work. His daughter is now cancer-free for now. She has to wear bags for the rest of her life, but at least she's still alive. He loves her very much.

Thank you and God bless you all.

Brandy, Wally's loving fiancée and always will be.
