Dallas World Championship: Support Wallingford Robotics

Help Team 55508A Represent Wallingford at the 2025 VEX World Championship!

Hello everyone!

We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping a talented group of young students from Wallingford, CT, travel to the 2025 VEX IQ Robotics World Championship in Dallas, TX! The participants of Team 55508A (The Star Wars) – Breckin, Jace, Mason, and Sebastian – are a group of dedicated elementary school students from the CT STEM Academy who have worked tirelessly to earn this incredible opportunity.

About the Team:

Every year, the CT STEM Academy runs a VEX IQ Robotics Team where students from elementary and middle schools learn to design, build, test, program, and compete with their robots. These students dedicate six months each year, meeting weekly, to work on their robots and prepare for competitions. It takes an incredible amount of commitment and passion, and we couldn’t be prouder of all our participants. This year, we are thrilled to announce that Team 55508A earned an invite to represent Wallingford, CT at the prestigious VEX World Championship! They are one of only three elementary teams from Connecticut to receive this honor.

Achievements:

Throughout the season, these young students demonstrated incredible dedication, overcoming challenges and adapting their robots to compete at the highest level. Their hard work paid off at the CT State Final, where they earned 1st place in Teamwork and 2nd place in Skills. In addition to these achievements, they also won 3 awards throughout the season, including:

- Excellence Award

- Teamwork Champion Awards

- Robot Skills Champion

At the State Finals, they were ranked 2nd amongst all elementary teams in Connecticut.

Why We Need Your Help:

Traveling to Dallas, TX for the World Championship is a huge opportunity for these students, but it comes with significant costs. We are seeking to raise $15,000 to cover:

- Travel expenses (flights, transportation, accommodations)

- Entrance fees ($1,800 per robot)

- Parts and supplies for the team to use during the competition

These students have already put in countless hours of hard work and are eager to showcase their talents on the world stage. Your support will help make this dream a reality!
