Hello, I am raising funds to help alleviate the vet bills I am coming into. On 9/3/2025, I came home at 8:30 pm and found my cat Wallace (3 years old) on the floor gasping for air. I grabbed him and rushed him to the nearest ER, which was 45 minutes out in San Jose. At the ER, he was rushed in and put in an oxygen tank. I was with him in the ER until 3 am to find out he has pneumonia and asthma. The vet bill was $1,400, his inhaler was $200, and his spacer was $60. I haven't been billed for his antibiotics yet, and he needs a follow-up next week. I am paying for everything out of pocket. This cat came into my life when I moved out; we started our journey together, and I have such a strong kinship with him now. We are both immune compromised. This cat is my child; we have been through such a journey in the 3 years we've had together. Wallace is a loving cat who demands everyone who visits us gives him pets and cuddles. He will never let someone be without company. I hate to ask for help, but my love for this cat will make me swallow my pride and reach out.
