At just 23 years old, our brother, son, and friend Walker Fritchman has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Walker has recently undergone several successful surgeries, and we are grateful for the progress that has been made. After extensive testing, we learned that he has a very rare form of lymphoma called ALK large cell–positive lymphoma. This condition mutates his white blood cells and is the underlying cause of the sarcoma. Identifying the exact type of cancer was especially challenging for his medical team, as the mutated cells made it difficult to determine what was driving the spread to stage 4. While receiving this diagnosis has been difficult, we also feel a sense of relief and gratitude to finally understand the root cause. Having this clarity allows his doctors to develop the most effective treatment plan possible, giving Walker the best chance at overcoming this disease. The road ahead will not be easy—his treatment will be intense—but his medical team is confident that, with his youth and overall health, Walker has a strong chance to fight this cancer. We remain hopeful and determined, standing with him every step of the way. This devastating diagnosis has already taken a heavy toll—leaving a large wound in his back, requiring painful and frequent treatments, and forcing him to undergo a very harsh chemotherapy regimen.

Because of his condition and treatment side effects, Walker is unable to work. He currently is been taken care of by his sister, brother-in-law, and young niece, relying on just two household incomes to cover all living expenses. Despite their love and support, the financial strain is overwhelming.

Walker’s journey is incredibly demanding:
    •    Frequent trips to OU Medical for treatment an over one hour drive one way.
    •    1–2 visits each week to Stillwater for labs, wound care, and transfusions
    •    Covering the cost of medical supplies needed at home
    •    Everyday bills and basic needs
    •     The missing of work his sister, dad and brother in-law need to do. To make sure he’s able to make it to his appointments.

Through it all, he has shown incredible courage, but cancer has placed an enormous financial burden on him and his family.

We are asking for your help to lift some of this weight off Walker’s shoulders so he can focus on what matters most—fighting for his life.

Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Walker’s medical expenses, travel, and essential living costs. Your kindness and support mean more than words can express.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Walker in this fight.
