My name is Walid Abdo.
I recently competed at the national freestyle wrestling competition and placed 2nd.. beating the victorian champion i lost to two weeks prior in the process.
My placing led to a rare opportunity to compete at the oceania championships which attracts some of the best wrestlers from across the continent. This also involves participating at a national training camp which will help me prepare for the event with the best wrestlers in the country
The money will be used to cover all associated expenses to attend training camps and the oceania championship event.
I hope you can help fulfill my dream of becoming a great wrestler, athlete and entertainer. Something i've been chipping away at for many years not only physically, but mentally and emotionally.
COST BREAKDOWN:
- National Training Camp: $550
- UWW Entry Fee (Seniors Only): $180
- UWW Athlete Licence: $180
- Accommodation: $1200 (it is a UWW requirement that all participants must stay at the designated athlete hotel for at least 4 nights)
- Wrestling Australia Kit: $565
- Flights & Miscellaneous Costs: ~$500
- Total: ~$3,000
