Urgent Appeal from Gaza – Amidst the War and Soaring Prices

Each passing day brings new challenges in securing her daily needs, such as milk, diapers, and the necessary medications to ensure her health and proper development.

My name is Miriam Herrera, and I'm organizing this fundraiser in the U.S. on behalf of my friend from Gaza. She and her family are in desperate need of funds to take care of their daughter Faya's basic needs, as well as their own. Items like pampers, food, and clothes are necessary as Faya grows and the seasons change, but they are extremely overpriced due to a shortage in humanitarian aid. The price of just 2 pounds of meat is 100 dollars, which nobody can afford. Walaa and her family were originally displaced from their hometown in 2023 and 2024, and have since been able to return. The ceasefire offered some hope of peace for the family, but unfortunately, now war has returned as well. They now struggle to pay rent in hazardous conditions and are desperate to leave the area but have no money to do so. In these conditions they cannot feasibly host a fundraiser for themselves, so I'm doing it for them. All donations will go towards securing food, clothing, and other necessities for their family, supporting their housing, and providing a means for escape at the next available opportunity.
