Hi, my name is Cody Hough, and I work in disaster management.

I’m reaching out today because of my cat, Wade.

Wade came into my life years ago as a street cat in Springfield, Missouri. When I found him, he was dirty, emaciated, and clearly had a hard life behind him. He had a broken tail and severe dental damage, what the I would lovingly refer to as a “gnarly set of chompers.” Despite everything he’d been through, Wade trusted me.

Over the years, that once-stray cat has become the sweetest little love bug you could imagine. He lives for cuddles, hates being too far from the people he loves, and is truly one of those animals who quietly makes life better just by being in it.

Unfortunately, time and his early injuries have caught up with him. Wade’s dental disease has progressed significantly. He’s already lost two teeth on his own, and veterinarians have determined that he now needs extensive dental surgery to remove the rest. Without it, he’ll continue to live with chronic pain and risk serious infection.

I work in disaster management, a field I care deeply about, but it also means I don’t always have the financial flexibility for sudden, major medical expenses. That’s why I’m here, asking for help to give Wade a future that’s comfortable, pain-free, and peaceful.
